Piano Lesson Information
Age
Any student of any age is welcome to try out piano lessons. I have the most experience with students aged 6 to 13 years old, but I am willing to work with students younger or older than those ages as well. Typically I start teaching students around age 5, but I may be willing to work with students as young as 3 years old.
Location
My home studio is located in the west end of Winona, MN, and I can provide lessons to the surrounding towns as well, including Fountain City, Minnesota City, Altura, and Stockton. Virtual lessons using Zoom are also available to students 8 years and older.
Cost
The cost of each 30-minute lesson is $19, paid via cash, check, PayPal, or Venmo. Discounts may apply if several lessons are paid for ahead of time or if there are several students in one family. Payment is expected by the beginning of each lesson and may be subject to a late fee if not paid on time.
Books
I prefer to use the Alfred piano method books (or the WunderKeys method books for beginners under 5 years old), but another method can be used if more convenient. I typically provide the books and have the student or parent reimburse me. If there is an instance where the student needs to find a book on their own, I will provide any necessary information.
Covid-19
While I prefer not to share my vaccination status, precautions can be taken to ensure the safety of instructor and students, including but not limited to sanitizing, masking, and social distancing. Additionally, I offer virtual lessons as an alternative to in-person lessons if you wish. The cost and policies would be the same for virtual lessons as they are for in-person lessons.
